MICRONEEDING
Microneedling is a safe, effective, and non-invasive solution for achieving smoother, younger-looking skin. By stimulating the body's natural healing process, microneedling can rejuvenate the skin from within, leaving you with a radiant and youthful complexion. This process can effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, trauma scars, stretch marks, sagging skin, and hyperpigmentation. Additionally, microneedling enhances the absorption of skincare products in the days and weeks following treatment, allowing them to penetrate deeper into the skin for better results.
During a microneedling session, a specialized device with tiny needles is gently rolled or stamped over the skin's surface. The depth and intensity of the treatment can be adjusted based on individual skin concerns and desired outcomes. Topical numbing creams are applied to minimize any pain or discomfort. While some people may experience mild discomfort, most people don’t feel any pain or even find that it feels good.
Microneedling treatments at Ganesha Healing start with a double cleansing. First I apply an oil cleanser to perform a facial massage, assist in lymphatic drainage, and dissolve dirt, oil and makeup. The second cleanser will depend on your skin type, but will often incorporate mild acid exfoliants to soften and prime the skin for treatment. Next I apply a topical numbing cream and paper mask, and massage the skin with cold ice globes, which basically feels like heaven, and has the added benefit of reducing inflammation and further numbing the skin so that the treatment can be as comfortable for you as possible. The numbing cream takes about 20-25 minutes, so I will use that extra time to give you a neck and shoulder massage. Once you are properly numbed, I will cleanse the skin, use a toner, and then apply a thin layer of hyaluronic acid to aid in the gliding of the microneedling pen. Treatments include the entire face and neck areas, but decollate, scalp, chest, or other areas can be added for an additional cost. At the end, I will create a serum cocktail that suits your skin type, but usually includes a deeply penetrating hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin, and peptides to strengthen and firm the skin.
Many individuals notice improvements in their skin's texture and appearance within days and/or weeks of their first microneedling session. However, results are cumulative and multiple treatments are usually required to achieve the desired results. I recommend starting with a series of 4-6 sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart for optimal outcomes. Maintenance treatments can be performed singularly or in a series thereafter.
CHEMICAL PEELS
Designed to address a range of skincare concerns, chemical peels offer a transformative solution for achieving a radiant complexion. I use PCA Skin Peels which are known to be the best in the business. I love how gentle they can be, providing beautiful results with little to no downtime.
At Ganesha Healing, this service will start with a double cleansing. First I apply an oil cleanser to perform a facial massage, assist in lymphatic drainage, and dissolve dirt, oil and makeup. The second cleanser will depend on your skin type, but will often incorporate mild acid exfoliants to soften and prime the skin for treatment.
After several layers of the PCA Peel solution is applied, you may experience a very mild tingling or burning sensation, which is normal and typically subsides after a few minutes. I may utilize a fan to make this part of the treatment as comfortable as possible.
After a period of time, I will neutralize the peel and apply a soothing mask tailored to your skin type. Once that is removed you will sit with the Celluma PRO LED Light Therapy for 30 minutes, and can choose to have meditation time with or without acupuncture, or hand and foot massage.
At the end of treatment I will apply a cocktail of serums tailored to your skins needs, and send you off glowing!
Over the next few days, you may notice some peeling or flaking as the old skin cells shed, revealing fresh, rejuvenated skin underneath. I like to use a gentle and natural soap/cleanser with a “squeaky clean” feel to very delicately roll dead skin off the face while in the shower. If you don’t own an appropriate cleanser, I will send you home with a sample of my favorite Osmia Organics soap.
With regular treatments, chemical peels can help to fade acne scars, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the overall appearance of your skin. They also stimulate collagen production and cell turnover, which helps to maintain skin elasticity and firmness, giving you a more youthful complexion.
